Terms of service
Effective November 2, 2026.
These terms cover your use of PoolPostcard (“we”, “us”): the website at poolpostcard.com and the monthly postcard mailing we run for your business. By reserving a mailing you agree to them. Questions: hello@poolpostcard.com.
1. What we do
Each month we find homes with a pool that recently sold in the zip you chose, using public county property records. We print your postcard and mail it to those homes by USPS First-Class Mail, up to the monthly cap you set. Addresses on your skip list, and homeowners who asked us to stop, are left out.
PoolPostcard is for businesses. You must be at least 18 and able to agree to these terms for your business.
2. Price and billing
- Reserving starts a subscription of $99.00 a month, charged today and then once a month until you cancel.
- Cards are charged separately, at $1.19 per card, for each batch: after you approve the count, or when its skip window ends (see section 3). You pay only for cards that mail, never more than your monthly cap.
- By reserving you agree we may charge your saved card for each approved count, and for a count whose 5-day window ends with no reply.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are in US dollars. Any price change is emailed to you at least 30 days before it applies.
- If a charge for a batch is declined, that batch does not mail.
3. Each month’s count and the 5-day window
Before anything prints we email you the month’s count and the charge for it. You have 5 days to approve it, skip the month, or lower the count. If we don’t hear from you within those 5 days, the batch is charged and mails as counted. Skipping a month costs nothing for cards.
4. Refunds and cancelling
- If no card of yours mails within 30 days of reserving, we refund the $99.00 in full.
- You can cancel any time by emailing hello@poolpostcard.com. Cancelling stops future renewals and batches. A batch that was already charged still mails.
- Cards that mailed are not refunded, including mail that USPS returns or can’t deliver.
- If we can’t print or mail a card after charging for it, we refund that card.
5. Your card and your offer
You are responsible for what your card says. It must be:
- about your own business, which holds any licence or insurance your work requires;
- true, with an offer you will honour for anyone who calls about it;
- lawful, and free of anything misleading, hateful, sexual, or that infringes someone else’s rights.
You give us permission to print and mail your name, logo, phone number, offer and any photo you provide, and to show them back to you in proofs. We may decline or pause a card that breaks these rules, and refund any month we don’t mail because of it.
6. Your skip list
Send only the addresses of your current customers, and only if you’re allowed to share them with us for this use. We use the list only to leave those addresses off your mailing. See the privacy policy.
7. Homeowners
Every card prints a way for the homeowner to stop mail, and we honour it for all PoolPostcard senders. You agree not to use PoolPostcard to reach anyone who has asked you not to contact them.
8. What we don’t promise
We can’t promise calls, sales, or any number of homes in a month. Counts depend on county records, which can be late or wrong. USPS controls delivery once cards are mailed. The service is provided “as is”, and we don’t make other promises beyond those written in these terms.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about PoolPostcard is limited to what you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. Neither side is liable for lost profits or indirect damages. You are responsible for claims caused by the content of your card.
10. Changes and ending the service
We may update these terms. If a change affects you, we email you at least 30 days before it applies, and you can cancel before then. We may stop serving an account that breaks these terms, refunding anything paid for cards that haven’t mailed.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Texas. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts in Harris County, Texas.
